Department for State Protocol of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan

The Department for State Protocol of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan was established in order to apply the state protocol of the Republic of Tatarstan in accordance with instruments and regulations defined by the key principles of the state protocol traditions of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan. The cooperation with foreign partners is based on the protocol norms generally accepted by the international practice, the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, the nature of relations between the parties and the protocol norms traditional for the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan.

The major tasks of the Department are as follows:

• to organize and provide the protocol support to the international contacts of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the foreign visits of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan and the events he participates in during the international delegations visits to the Republic of Tatarstan;
• to organize and provide the protocol support to the senior and high-level visits of international delegations, representatives of foreign states and international organizations to the Republic of Tatarstan;
• to provide protocol and organizational support to the visits of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan to other regions of the Russian Federation and districts of the Republic of Tatarstan;
• to provide protocol support to other events featuring the Rais (Head) t of the Republic of Tatarstan;
• to ensure the protocol uniformity in the organization of the official events featuring the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan that promote the cooperation with the ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan, local authorities, institutions and organizations on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan;
• to provide, under the instructions of the Rais (Head) of the Republic of Tatarstan, the protocol support to the international visits of the Prime-Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan.
