On July 4, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Moscow to take part in Moscow Urban Forum 2019.
Moscow Urban Forum is the largest international congress on the development challenges of global megacities. The forum has been held annually since 2011. The event brings together representatives of Russian and global city administrations, architects, town planners, developers, heads of financial companies, investors, reporters and citizens.
Moscow Urban Forum 2019 “Quality of life. Projects for a better city” is dedicated to the initiatives that are made by city administrations, business, citizens and are aimed at balanced and sustainable urban development, improving the quality of life through the implementation of megaprojects.
In 2019, the forum is held at the Zaryadye concert hall.
Today, on the 4th of July, Tatarstan President will speak at a panel discussion “Environment for Development. A comfortable city as an economy driver. ” The panel discussion will discuss the possibilites of new projects and initiatives for Russian cities, general tasks to improve the quality of life and to develop the urban economy, the untapped resources of cities and how to help them use these resources.
Minnikhanov will also take part in a presentation of projects of graduates from Tatarstan of the international Master's programme in Prototyping Future Cities offered by the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE).
It is expected that Minnikhanov and other representatives of Tatarstan will attend a presentation of the training programme "Improving the skills of specialists involved in the implementation of the "Forming a comfortable urban environment” priority project in cooperation with the HSE”.
Tomorrow, Minnikhanov will visit the Universal University and the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.
